Rietfontein is one of several farms privately owned by Mr J De Bruin in the Aliwal North district. This specific farm host hunters during season and the infrastructure include pumps, dwellings, coldrooms, a small abatoir and a large manufacturing workshop with heavy duty equipment.
The reason Rietfontein aquired a solar system was because the utility electrical infrastructure was continuously failing in the area leaving them for long periods without power.
